Kim Smith oversees the Crime Lab's portfolio of law enforcement and criminal justice work, in addition to shaping the Crime Lab's strategic plan and overseeing JEDI initiatives. Prior to joining the Urban Labs, Kim was a Senior Research Associate at Innovations for Poverty Action in New Haven, CT where she managed three randomized controlled trials testing the effectiveness of financial products designed for low-income households in the United States.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from McGill University.
