Misuzu Schexnider is a new Research Manager in the Povery Lab and will be working on a portfolio of projects related to opportunity youth. Misuzu was formerly an associate program officer at Generation All, an initiative of the Chicago Community Trust that seeks to revitalize neighborhood public high schools.  Prior to that she was an English teacher at North Lawndale College Prep High School on Chicago's west side and at Naperville Central High School.

She holds a Master in Public Policy from the University of Chicago's Harris School and a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Northwestern University.  She also serves on the board of Latin United Community Housing Association (LUCHA), co-chairs the grantmaking committee for the Asian Giving Circle, and teaches yoga in North Lawndale.
